Just one step from CR Amby Inn is centered on the sprawling Central Market, a colorful maze of narrow lanes with stalls and shops selling vivid saris, embroidered fabrics, kitchenware and herbal cosmetics. There are also plenty of henna tattooists and street food stands offering samosas, momo dumplings and fried aloo tikki patties. No-frills family-run restaurants serving Indian and Chinese food sit next to Western fast-food spots.

Pragati Maidan is a venue for large exhibitions and conventions in New Delhi. It is having an area of nearly 150 acres (more than 625,000 square meters of exhibition space, is the biggest exhibition center in Delhi. It is owned, operated, controlled and managed by India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO), the trade promotion agency of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Govt. of India.

The 42 meters high, freestanding arch was designed by Lutyens and built in 1931. It was originally called the All India War Memorial in memory of the 90,000 soldiers of the Indian Army who died in World War I. in 1971 and Eternal Flame was lit here to honor the Amar Jawan (Eternal Soldier).

A marvelous piece of architecture, close to rashtrapatibhawan, it is a domed structure almost 5 kilometer in circumference and was designed by the famed architect Lutyen. It is the seat of the Indian Parliament.

Stalls at Janpath Market sell saris, embroidered bags and trinkets. The peaceful Sikh temple Gurdwara Bangla Sahib is known for its reflecting pool, and Jantar Mantar is a 1700s observatory with huge astronomical instruments.
